The Bellaire Area Chamber of Commerce was originally the Board of Trade of Bellaire, Ohio. It was formed in March of 1942 by A.A. Hack, J.P. Cinque and Edmund L. Matz. The purposes for which the said corporation was formed were as follows: To protect, promote and foster the moral and civic welfare of the people of Bellaire and the vicinity. The trustees were A.A. Hack,of the Zweig Building, C. C. Dickens, J.J. Perunko, C.H. Koch, C.J. Uhrmann, W.K. Crow, R.E. Koller,R.T. Carnes, W.M. Johnson, G.C. Dix, E.L. Matz and J.P. Cinque.
On October 25, 1960, the Board of Trade of Bellaire, Ohio, became known as the Bellaire Area Chamber of Commerce. The cost of the filing fee with Secretary of State Ted Brown was $25.00.
On February 16, 1948, the Board of Trade became a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States.
